Apart from the start of the trip, I have been using Booking.com to source my accommodation. However I also downloaded an app called iOverlander which gives tips around repair shops, good restaurants and good places to stay. One of the recommendations was the Soul Kitchen hostel in St Petersburg was invaluable and another one was to stay at Igor's place.
I was in Krasnoyarsk and heading to Irkutsk. The ride was too far for a day and so the overlander app suggested "Igor's Place" in Tayshet (roughly half way). Igor's place is a home stay and so a little different from the variety of hotels and hostels I had been staying - and what a pleasure.
Igor was a fantastic host, provided soup on arrival, a lovely dinner (sourced in part from his back garden) and a good breakfast. It's a pleasure to stay some ones house. Many bikers have stayed there and it seems I am likely to be one of the last of the season given I am travelling in the Autumn rather than summer.
The autumn weather has been fantastic (20c+ during the day and dazzling sunshine) and I can't imagine better riding weather. Add to that the colour of the trees and the riding has been wonderful.

The stay gave me the chance to check over my bike and I took the opportunity to change the air filter which was filthy. Unfortunately a lot of the trucks are coal burning Kamaz trucks and them put out huge amounts of blacks smoke - which my bike absorbs.
The following day the bike was humming and it was pleasant ride to Irkutsk. 6000 miles done and only 2400 more until Vladivostok!

Oh the photo is me in Tayshet and the weather at the same place a week earlier! I was lucky to miss the snow.
