The bike

Why and Why not!

The bike is a 2017 Triumph Bonneville T100.  The new watercooled ones rather than the slightly older aircooled.  

Why?  Well simply, its the bike I have!

If I didn't have a bike then already then I would have probably gone with a Honda CRF250L (given Honda's reliability) or perhaps a Royal Enfield Himalyan.  Ok, I could have bought one, but I had minimal planning time (I wasn't planning on being made redundant in May) and £4000 spent on a bike would be better spent travelling.

Plus if a Triumph parallel twin is enough for Ted Simon, then its good enough for me! (Actually there's an Australian couple - Earthroamers, who are doing it on an air cooled Bonnie and they sing its praises too!).

Made a few additions - Renntec crash bars, Hepco and Becker pannier frames bitubo rear springs, tec progressive front springs, and some barkbusters just incase I drop it again!

I'll  be using  soft luggage  as the bike is heavy enough as it is  (a mix of kreiga and other bits and pieces).
